Strawberry Chiffon

Strawberry Chiffon

Using a 17cm chiffon mould

Ingredients
4 egg yolks
50ml vege oil
85ml strawberry yoghurt OR Fresh Strawberry puree
70g cake flour
4 egg whites
70g sugar
1/4 tsp cream of tar tar

Method

Mix the yolks, 30g sugar, veg oil, strawberry yoghurt and mix well.  Fold in sifted flour until a batter is formed. Set aside for later use.

Beat egg whites till frothy with electric whisk, add cream of tar tar. Gradually add the rest of the sugar . whisk till stiff peaks form.

Fold in 1/3 of egg white mixture into yolk mixture. Then slowly fold in the rest until well mixed

Do not deflate the egg white mixture.  Pour into chiffon mould . Bake in a preheated oven at 170°C for 60mins.
