Long John Silver's Fish Batter by Vanessa Tay

Long John Silver's Fish Batter


3/4 cup plain flour (approx. 96g)
2 tbsps. cornstarch
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
3/4 cup water (approx. 180ml)

Chicken or fish fillets


1. Sift dry ingredients
2. Add water and mix well.
3. Use to coat fish or chicken fillets
4. Cover the fish or chicken completely with the batter.
5. Deep fry till golden brown.
6. Drain and serve

* I used tilapia sliced in nugget-sized, around 20 pieces.
* You may add a bit more salt
