Vadai by Gwen Chow


Ingredients:
200g Vada flour
100g Self raising flour
250ml water
1 TBsp dried shrimps
3 to 4 green chillies
3 large onions
200g or more fresh prawns

Method:
  1. Mix the 2 types of flour with water.
  2. Leave it to stand for 15 to 20  mins.
  3. Soak the dried shrimps and chop into small pieces.
  4. Cut or dice the green chillies and large onions.
  5. Shell and devein the prawns. Cut into small pieces.
  6. Add all the above to the batter.
  7. Heat oil and deep fry spoonfuls of dough till golden brown. (I used my medium ice cream scoop)
*The Vada flour can be found in Mustafa.
