Homemade bean curds with chopped radish n dried shrimps by Grace Chang
Prepare this first
Beancurd ingredients
500 ml soya bean milk ( without sugar) I cheated bought fr market
5 eggs
1 tsp salt
1 tbsp cornstarch
Method
Beat the egg lightly , add in the soya milk n mix well
Add salt and corn starch n mix well then strain.
Pour the mixture slowly into an 8 inch square tin with line cellophane paper ( I use plastic that can use for steaming)
Steam in a preheat steamer over a low heat for 20 mins until cooked.
( this was my mistake , thats how I get the holes , I steam it on med)
Remove from heat , leave to cool n cut to desired size ..
Ingredients for the topping
60g dried shrimps ( har bee chopped)
50 g pickled radish( I did have it n was comes In a mix salted n sweet one)
1 tbsp chopped shallots
2 tbsp chopped spring onions
Seasoning
1 tbsp oyster sauce
1/2 tbsp light soy sauce
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp sesame oil
Pepper
Method
Heat up 3 tbsp oil in preheated wok to sauté the chopped onions n chopped garlic until brown . Add in the har bee n radish , stir fry briskly till aromatic..
Add the seasoning , toss well . ( i added my spring onions here n stir it thru) Remove n keep aside
Cut the bean curd into sq pcs n arrange on plate n dress on it.. Sprinkle with spring onions n chopped chillies .. Serve
